Garmin Forerunner 310xt
Garmin Forerunner 405cx review
Just what I needed, 25 Oct 2009A proudly owner of a FR60 with HRM + Foot pod after I done a couple of Duathlon I realised that I need sthing a bit more specific for my training/competition, ordered it on a late Friday afternoon and it arrived at 11am on Saturday ( paid more for the express deliver but still cheaper than buy on any shop ) the watch is just what I needed. Gents ( ladies too ) the vibration alarm is off the wall, allows you to training with your IPOD blasting and you will know when to check. I small nag, if you try to wear it as normal watch it does only give you time and minute, not date, day of week and month. But other than that an excellent tool, also the option to set up the watch with transition between sports too is excellent, one touch and you are changing sports. Defo worth every penny

Brilliant Garmin 310XT, 6 Feb 2010I cannot fault this device at all, it is brilliant with a clear display and many useful features. It synchronises wirelessly with a computer and everything seems to work nice and easily. Every half serious runner should have one.

Garmin Forerunner 310xt
Top training aid, 17 Feb 2010Quite simply the best training aid I have ever used. I'd used a Garmin Edge 205 previously; as a training aid, having an accurate measure of pace, speed and distance was excellent, although it was designed for cycling and not running. Step forward the Garmin Forerunner 310xt: speed, pace, distance, heart-rate; designed for triathletes so is waterproof for the swim and designed for running and cycling. I love this thing! It's a bit bulky on your wrist, but the screen is clear with up to 4 items being displayed at once. I use this for pace running, with the auto-lap set to buzz every 1km and tell me how I'm doing. I use it cycling, to tell me how far and how fast I'm going. I use it on the treadmill in the gym as a HRM to make sure I'm pushing just enough. Then I download everything to my PC to look through and see how I did and discuss with my coach. I get instant feedback of my pace and effort. I haven't used the "virtual trainer" yet to give me a computer-generated "rabbit" to chase, but that's just one aspect that I haven't fully explored yet! Roll on a season of training and improving with this beasty.
